Which device is right?
Max, Mount, Mini, Duo and Solo side by side — what each one is for, so you can match the device to the site.
Sales sheetUpdated November 6, 2026
Match the device to the site. MergeWiFi's routers, hotspot and solar cameras side by side: what each one is for and where it goes.
The devices
| Device | What it is | Best for | Network | Power |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Max | Business router | Offices, gates, access control and surveillance indoors | 4G or 5G | Mains, 12 V DC |
| Mount | Outdoor, weatherproof router | Oil wells, outdoor gates, sensors, harsh weather | 4G or 5G | PoE |
| Mini | Pocket hotspot | Travel, mobile crews, remote work | 4G | Battery, about 18 hours |
| Duo | Dual-lens solar camera | Sites with no power that need two views at once | 4G | Solar |
| Solo | Solar pan-tilt camera | Sites with no power, simple monitoring | 4G | Solar |
Three questions that pick the device
- Does it need to move?. If it goes where you go, it's the Mini: battery-powered, up to 10 devices at once.
- Is it a camera job?. The Duo watches two views at once. The Solo is the simpler single-lens option. Both run on solar.
- Indoors or out?. Indoors, the Max. Outdoors in the weather, the weatherproof Mount.
Every MergeWiFi router
- Finds the strongest carrier. At power-on it connects to the strongest network where it's installed, with no manual choice.
- No SIM swapping. The Max, Mount and Mini don't need a carrier's SIM card.
- One plan, one bill. Whichever carrier the device is using.
- Managed from the cloud. Routers can be checked and supported remotely, without a site visit.
