Construction use case
Multi-carrier connectivity for site trailers, field crews, and site cameras.
The trailer opens months before the circuit does. A job site needs a working network months before anyone will run a wire to it. The pre-con trailer opens, supers and inspectors show up with tablets, material sits in an unlit yard overnight, and the circuit order is still weeks out. Single-carrier service does not fix that, because coverage on a raw site is fixed to whichever contract the contractor signed, and failover inside that contract only moves the connection to another tower on the same network. Then the job finishes and the entire setup has to move to the next one. MergeWiFi brings the trailer, the crews, and the cameras online on all major carriers at once, and moves with the job.
Where MergeWiFi deploys
| Application | What it solves | Recommended stack |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-Con and Site Trailer | Primary connectivity for the trailer from day one, live long before a wired circuit could be ordered and installed. | Max (5G), Unlimited plan, Watchtower |
| Backup Circuit | Failover on longer builds where a wired circuit does exist but cannot be relied on. | Max (5G), Unlimited plan, Watchtower |
| Field Crew Devices | Tablets and laptops for supers, inspectors, and subcontractors working across the site and between jobs. | Mini, Unlimited plan |
| Site Monitoring Cameras | Camera coverage over material laydown, equipment yards, and access points, on sites with no power and no wired network. | Managed IoT SIMs with Watchtower for the camera fleet, Solar camera systems where there is no power |
| Moving to the Next Job | The same units redeploy to the next site when this one closes, with no new install and no circuit order. | Max and Mini, Unlimited plan |
Why MergeWiFi
- All-carrier access. One device reaches every major carrier, never limited to a single site contract.
- Automatic carrier selection. Failover moves between carriers, not just between towers on the failing one.
- Zero-trust security. Watchtower enforces security at the SIM, on Watchtower-enabled hardware.
- Fully managed service. Deployed, monitored and supported by MergeWiFi, not by your customer's team.
