Gates, access control and IoT

Cellular connections for gates, access panels, cameras and connected devices, from the strongest carrier at the site and looked after from the cloud.

Sales sheetUpdated November 6, 2026

Connect the gate where the cable doesn't reach. Cellular connections for access control, cameras and connected devices. Each one connects on its own, and it's all looked after from the cloud.

Built for the equipment at the edge

  • Access control and gates. The MergeWiFi Max is built for access control, surveillance and connected devices, where the connection matters most.
  • Cameras with no power to run. The Solo and Duo cameras charge from a solar panel and send video over 4G. No electrician, no conduit.
  • Device fleets. Sensors and other connected devices can run on managed IoT connectivity, with no router in between.
  • No SIM swapping. MergeWiFi routers connect to the strongest carrier at power-on. Nobody drives out to change a SIM card.

Wired equipment plugs into the Max's LAN ports. The Solo's multi-carrier SIM switches carriers on its own.

Looked after from the cloud

  • See it's online. Your partner sees whether each router is online and answering, with its signal and the data it's used.
  • Fixed remotely. Restarts, speed tests and network scans run from the cloud, with no site visit.
  • Zero-trust security. Watchtower enforces security at the SIM, on Watchtower-enabled hardware.

When a carrier struggles, it changes carriers

With one carrier, failover only moves you to another tower on the same network, so when that carrier has a problem you're still down. MergeWiFi moves to a different, healthy carrier on its own, and nobody has to touch anything.

Getting connected

  1. Check the site. Your partner checks coverage where the equipment is, and whether there's power or sun.
  2. Pick the devices. A router for gates and panels, a solar camera where there's no power.
  3. Install and power on. Routers find the strongest carrier and connect within a few minutes.
  4. Managed from there. Status, tests and restarts happen remotely, so a site visit is the exception.
